Good Morning!

After a lengthy and pleasant telephone conversation with Lynn Foote this morning, and idea was launched to start a blog for the Great River Strings and Arnie's Beginner Orchestras.  The purpose of the blog is to have a simple and streamlined way to disseminate information about practice locations, schedules, sheet music, and any changes that might come up.

With due respect to those that do not have, or wish to have internet access, Lynn will continue to mail out the semi annual newletter and, as always, be available to answer telephone inquires.  I (Rachel Johnson) will volunteer to keep this blog updated on a weekly basis (actual "update day" to be determined) as well as post any timely changes as soon as possible.

We will attempt to make a list of the sheet music available here.   Seeing as we are between sessions, the only sheet music available at the present time is the Christmas Carols that Arnie's beginner group will be practicing and presenting at a Caroling event at the Mall.

So, without any further delay.  Here is what is on tap for the next week!

  • Great River Strings:  No information at this time.  No sheet music at this time.
  • Arnie's Beginner Group:  Practice Tuesday, Dec 6th, 6pm at the Crosby High School.

That's it for the first entry!  Watch for more updates, which if I remember correctly, will always post at the top to the blog.  Comments, ideas, questions are always welcome!
Sincerely, Rachel :-)
